Our centre is governed by our Executive Committee, Advisory Boards, and Centre Committees. Our Centre’s governance and leadership structure is designed to support strategic oversight, collaboration, engagement, and effective coordination across all aspects of the Centre.
Advisory Board:
The CSI Advisory Board will provide recommendations on strategic development and emerging opportunities and will provide advice and feedback on the Centre’s strategic plans, strengths, and weaknesses.
International Scientific Advisory Committee (ISAC):
ISAC will provide a global perspective on the Centre’s research programs and will review the research programs and progress, undertake benchmarking and report to the EC on the international standing of the Centre’s program.
CSI Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is responsible for:
- Development and implementation of Centre policy and procedures.
- Planning events and activities that support the delivery of Centre KPIs.
- Allocating resources and making decisions on new research initiatives.
- Monitoring the operations of Centre committees.
- Establishing risk management plans to ensure outcomes are delivered in a timely manner.

The NextGen Committee was established to provide a formal voice for the Centre’s early-career researchers and HDR students, supporting their professional development, engagement, and contribution to Centre activities. The Committee reports through the People & Culture Committee and works collaboratively with other Centre committees to ensure NextGen perspectives are represented across Centre initiatives.
