Dr Lingfei Zhao

Dr Lingfei Zhao is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Professor Liming Dai’s research group at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He earned his PhD in July 2023 at the Institute for Superconducting & Electronic Materials, University of Wollongong, under the supervision of Prof Shi Xue Dou, Prof Hua Liu, Prof Shulei Chou, and Prof Yunxiao Wang. He then worked as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Wollongong in 2024 and the University of Technology Sydney in 2025. His research interest focuses on materials design and electrolyte engineering for high energy density rechargeable batteries, and also carbon based catalysis for CO2 reduction. He is a youth editor for Carbon Neutralization, Microstructures, and Green Carbon, and guest editor for Batteries. He was awarded the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad in 2023.
