Yan Jiao

Professor Yan Jiao is an Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow at the University of Adelaide’s School of Chemical Engineering. She obtained her PhD in the same discipline from the University of Queensland in 2012. She has been distinguished as a Rising Star by The Australian and received a Young Tall Poppy Award.

Prof. Jiao’s research focuses on designing sustainable energy conversion materials through computational techniques. She has published more than 100 journal articles in leading journals, including Nat. Energy, Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., and Angew. Chemie Int. Ed. Her contributions have gathered over 30,000 citations with an h-index of 66.

Since 2019, Prof. Jiao has been listed as a Highly Cited Researcher in Chemistry by Clarivate Analytics. As a Lead Chief Investigator, she has successfully secured over a million Australian dollars in research funding.
