Hetaishan Huang is a PhD candidate in the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW Sydney, under the supervision of Dr Wenxian Li. His current research focuses on the design and development of carbon-based materials for photocatalytic applications.
Hetaishan completed his undergraduate studies in Statistics at the University of Waterloo, Canada, followed by a coursework-based master’s degree in Statistics at UNSW Sydney. He subsequently transitioned into materials and chemical engineering research, completing an MPhil in Chemical Engineering at UNSW under the supervision of Professor Liming Dai. During his MPhil, his research focused on developing carbon-based materials for sensing applications.
His research interests span carbon materials, photocatalysis, and the design of functional materials for energy and environmental applications.
