Dr Jingyi (Christine) Sun

Jingyi (Christine) Sun recently earned her PhD in Environmental Engineering from the UNSW, supervised by Sci. Prof. T. David Waite. In Nov 2024, she began her role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW, supervised by Sci. Prof. Liming Dai. During her PhD, she focused on advanced wastewater treatment technology through cathode-enhanced systems, enabling selective remediation of both inorganic and organic contaminants from wastewater. Currently, her research interest is in designing and developing carbon-based electrodes and scalable electrochemical systems/reactors to transform waste from wastewater and groundwater into valuable products. Jingyi (Christine) also earned her Bachelor of Civil Engineering with First Class Honours from UNSW in 2021.
