Professor Jieqiong Shan

Prof. Jieqiong Shan received her B.E. and M.E. from East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in 2012 and 2016, respectively. She earned her Ph.D. at The University of Adelaide (UoA) in 2021, under the supervision of Prof. Shi-Zhang Qiao. After that, Prof. Shan worked with Prof. Shi-Zhang Qiao as a postdoctoral research fellow in UoA. She joined City University of Hong Kong as an Assistant Professor in August, 2023.
Prof. Shan’s research interests focus on the design, fabrication, characterization and simulation of nanomaterials towards applications in electrocatalysis, energy storage and conversion. Her research aims to develop highly efficient and low cost materials for key technologies in the generation of clean energy. She has a track record with peer-reviewed publications in the field of Materials/Energy/Chemistry, including Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Science Advances, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Chem, ACS Energy Letters, etc, which achieve total citation of over 2000 times and h-index of 17.
