Margaretha Sumargo is a PhD candidate in the Particles and Catalysis Research Group (PartCat) under the supervision of A/Prof Emma Lovell. Her research focuses on developing carbon-based materials for sustainable energy applications, with a particular interest in photothermal catalysis. She investigates plasma-treated carbon materials to enhance catalytic performance and explores how light-driven heating can improve CO₂ conversion pathways toward value-added products.
