Singgih Wibowo is a PhD student in the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW Sydney. He works on glycerol photooxidation using graphitic carbon nitride (g-C₃N₄)–based photocatalysts. His research focuses on tuning oxidation selectivity by modifying g-C₃N₄ with different metal co-catalysts. By controlling metal loading, surface redox properties, and adsorption behaviour, he aims to steer the reaction toward valuable products such as dihydroxyacetone (DHA) and glycolaldehyde (GLA).
He completed his bachelor’s degree in Physics (Materials) at Diponegoro University, Indonesia, and his master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. Before joining the Partcat Group under the supervision of Professor Rose Amal, Dr Cui Ying Toe (University of Newcastle), and Dr Denny Gunawan, he worked at Politeknik AKA Bogor, a vocational university under the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia.
