Asst/Professor Soumyabrata Roy

Assistant Professor Soumyabrata Roy received his PhD in Chemical Science from JNCASR, Bangalore, after completing his master’s at IIT Kharagpur and bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Presidency College, Calcutta, India. He is a recipient of the Inspire Fellowship from DST- Govt. of India, RSC Commonwealth Grants, Indo-German DAAD fellowship, and Future faculty fellowship from Rice University. His current research focuses at IIT-Kanpur include Materials for Energy Transition, Carbon Capture and Utilisation, and Green Hydrogen & Sustainable Fuels.
