Dr Yuhan Xie earned her PhD degree from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2024, supervised by Prof Hao Liu. She is presently working with Prof Richard Tilley as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). During her PhD studies, she primarily concentrated on developing single-atom carbon-based materials for energy-related applications, especially electrocatalytic ORR, OER, HER, and CO2RR reactions. Dr Xie has proven to be highly capable and has a wealth of knowledge in single-atom active site design, characterization, and analysis skills like TEM, XPS, XANES, and EXAFS, among others. Her current projects aim to control and orient single atoms and/or metal nanoparticles on various carbon and metal substrates for electrocatalysis.
