Lu received her master’s degree from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Hainan University, China. She also spent one year as an exchange student at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Xiamen University.
In September 2025, Lu commenced her PhD at the Australian National University under the supervision of Prof Yun Liu. Her research focuses on sensor development and the detection of PFAS pollution.
