Xinyu Liu is a PhD student at UNSW Sydney under the supervision of Prof Rose Amal and Dr Denny Gunawan. His research focuses on developing photocatalytic systems for the decarboxylation of fatty acids, including catalyst synthesis, characterisation and activity testing. His work aims to better understand the role of different catalysts and the reaction mechanisms involved.
